(English): A duet performed on the pedal harpsichords of Allegra-II and its predecessor, Allegra-I.
The earlier Allegra appears in episode 59 of “The Invid Connection.”
"The Invid Connection" is the 59th episode of Robotech and 23rd and the penultimate episode of The Masters Saga.
Faced with the impossibility of forming a trio of monozygotic triplets due to the death of one or two members of the triumvirate, lower-ranking cloned citizens are recruited; before the clone master and the group of lower-ranking soldiers who inject them subcutaneously with pain-numbing drugs, she expresses her resignation by saying, “This is fate.”
However, at least as far as music is concerned, she would surely have steadfastly fulfilled her role as a mentor to the next generation of Allegras.
Therefore, I completely redesigned the previous Allegra and modified her to be an elderly woman full of life and energy.
Tomonori Kogawa (湖川 友謙) is now elderly, so it would probably be difficult for him to reinterpret the work through a new version like this one.
Instead, I wondered how he would have painted it if he were young and brimming with vitality, and I created that work of art.
Just like the story behind this “Alegra,” it’s about passing the art on to the next generation!
