The Muses—the succession system of the Gayrantis species in Star Blazers: Yamato 2202 serves as a major reference for their own system.

The Muses play a crucial role in society. Although the previous generation—Musica,Allegra, and Octavia—boast lifespans several times longer than those of humans on Earth, aging is still inevitable.

Before the lives of the three original Muses, who formed a triumvirate, reach their end, their next generation—young, identical triplets—is cloned by the Clone Masters, who also form a triumvirate.

However, while the newly born Muses possess an innate genetic aptitude for music, their performance skills and vocal training require education and practice; for this mentoring role, the cloned donors—who, though aged, possess exactly the same genetic structure and mentality—are the most suitable candidates.

Allegra, having reached the end of her life, will impart to the young Allegra II—who is about to enter adolescence—the education necessary to bring her musical talent as a Muse to full bloom, along with the knowledge and experience gained in old age and various techniques for winning the hearts of the people. Having fulfilled her duty, she will then conclude her life’s journey.

I drew this illustration because the original sketch of the old woman had a very distinct personality, and also because the coloring in the movie resembled that of Allegra.

Las Musas —el sistema de sucesión de la especie Gatrantis en Star Blazers: Yamato 2202— sirven como referencia principal para su propio sistema.
Las Musas desempeñan un papel crucial en la sociedad. Aunque la generación anterior —Musica,Allegra y Octavia— cuenta con una esperanza de vida varias veces mayor que la de los humanos en la Tierra, el envejecimiento sigue siendo inevitable.
Antes de que las vidas de las tres Musas originales, que formaban un triunvirato, lleguen a su fin, su siguiente generación —tres trillizas jóvenes e idénticas— es clonada por los Maestros Clonadores, quienes también forman un triunvirato.
Sin embargo, si bien las Musas recién nacidas poseen una aptitud genética innata para la música, sus habilidades interpretativas y su entrenamiento vocal requieren educación y práctica; para este papel de mentoras, las donantes clonadas —aunque de edad avanzada— son ideales, ya que poseen exactamente la misma estructura genética y mentalidad.
Allegra, al haber llegado al final de su vida, impartirá a la joven Allegra II —quien está a punto de entrar en la adolescencia— la educación necesaria para que su talento musical como Musa florezca plenamente, junto con el conocimiento y la experiencia adquiridos en la vejez y diversas técnicas para ganarse el corazón de la gente. Dibujé esta ilustración porque el boceto original de la anciana tenía una personalidad muy marcada y, además, la coloración en la película se parecía a la de Allegra.
